SPREP
The Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) is the regional coordinating organisation responsible for the protection and sustainable development of the Pacific island environment.
Headquartered in Apia, Samoa, SPREP collaborates closely with its 26 member countries and territories, as well as partners, donors, and local communities, to implement environmental management and sustainable development initiatives. SPREP’s work focuses on four priority areas: biodiversity and ecosystem protection, waste management and pollution control, climate change resilience, and environmental governance. Through the framework of Cleaner Pacific 2025, SPREP is dedicated to achieving a pollution-free Pacific.
The University of Newcastle

Established in 2001, TOF focuses on improving ocean health, enhancing climate resilience, and promoting a sustainable blue economy. The foundation supports diverse projects tackling ocean acidification, plastic pollution, and marine habitat conservation. It achieves this through funding research, providing technical expertise, and advocating for impactful ocean conservation policies.
